At The Bookkeeping Republic, we’re qualified bookkeepers based in Melbourne that offer practical and affordable solutions to help small businesses achieve their vision.

We take the ‘scary’ out of compliance and work with you to create processes that make life simpler. You could be thinking about starting something (go you!), wanting to tighten up some existing procedures or looking for someone to come in and help, with all the bells and whistles. Our goal is to support you.

Building and maintaining relationships are so important to us. We want to know all about you, your business, your goals and where we can go next (and we can totally do this over a coffee, tea or a nice pinot noir– if that’s your thing?). We become an extension of you (not in a creepy way) - because we care. We want nothing more than to see you succeed!

So, we live in the cloud. Well not really, we are located in Melbourne’s Inner North – Thornbury. What we should really say is, all of our software is cloud based and highly recommend you are too. This means no more paper receipts, shoeboxes, or bulky filing cabinets! This also means you have access to all of your programs and documents, anywhere – even while you are cruising around the fabulous Greek Islands! Great for the environment and big ol’ not-so-scary compliance (once we nail those procedures, of course).

While we are a Xero Certified Advisor (and yes, this beautiful baby is our preference), we work hand-in-hand with whatever accounting package you are using. Who knows, you may even want to migrate over (Yay for you, me - us).

Oh and we probably should mention, we are a registered BAS Agent, Tax Agents in fact (#226090263) with the Tax Practitioners Board. Now this doesn’t mean we are fancy schmancy James Bond double agents (though we think that would be a little cooool), it just means we are legally able to provide ATO and GST compliance services.
